We Are Not Alone
Obesity is not soley an American epidemic. New statistics from England's Department of Health indicate that one in three British adults will be obese by 2010. Tagging right along behind are their kiddies at one in five being obese.
Notably remarkable is that one in all five car trips in Britain are less than one mile. I wonder if these folks could actually get to their destination quicker and more efficiently on a bicycle?

Let's see...bikes are easy to park, cheap to maintain, no (expensive) gas required, you may enjoy the exercise, fresh air, peace and quite, and the freedom of movement. Sounds like something we should all think about.
Health campaigners are blaming the food industry's advertising campaigns and demanding more control be placed on it. Frankly, if you buy packaged foods, simply read, interpret, and understand the food labels. Knowledge is power and the information is there.
Make it your priority to eat foods that are closest to their natural state. Such foods as fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, beans, and meats are best for our bodies. Eat responsibly.

O.k., I had to comment on this one. I just had people blaming food industries for making them fat. I do agree that the marketing tactics used are brutal not to mention the addicting chemicals poured into baked goods. One can NEVER be enough with that going on. But come one, you have a hand and you have a mouth---put the hand down and close your mouth and read labels!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, I get nuts over this topic.

Yes, we are all aware of what big industry is doing. Unfortunately, so many of us are playing ignorant and pretending to not know the truth. Knowlege is power, lets use it. The food labels are there, it's the law and all the ingredients are listed. I always say: "Ignorance is NOT Bliss!"
