Careful What You Feed Fido

   The artificial sweetener Xylitol, found in many sugar-free foods, may cause liver failure in dogs and possibly lead to death.

Gwaltney-Brant said for dogs, ingesting even a small amount of xylitol can trigger significant insulin release, which drops their blood sugar and can be fatal.

   Apparently, people are giving their dogs sugar-free chewing gum.  Why?

      I agree with you, let's call it risk management.  Everything in moderation, unless you experience side effects, then avoidance is best.  Personally, I noticed that I didn't feel as energenic and quick (physically & mentally) after consuming diet soda.  After taking it out of my diet, I noticed that I felt great all day

      Always listen to your heart (your thoughts) and listen to your body.  I believe that the farther removed a product is from it's natural state - the less it is accepted and utilized by one's body.
