Occupation and Sport Specific Training


                     

   You've heard of Sport Specific Training?  My approach to wellness is quite similar in that I focus on the individual client and their occupation.  Precise calculation of an individual's quantity of exercise, type of exercise, and the timing of exercises will bring forth the desired results.

    In the health and fitness industry, one size does NOT fit all.  For example: a marathon runner should not train like a body builder, just as a housewife does not need to train her body to perform as a firefighter or paramedic would (unless she is deadlifting her 939 pound spouse around the house all day). 

   In both occupational and sport specific training, it is important to drop the out-of-date exercise routines and long tough workouts that can be physically draining; leading to injuries, dehydration, excessive muscle soreness, and pain.   

   Occupational and sport specific training techniques will improve your fitness, flexibility, strength and power, and result in a strong heart, healthy blood lipids, and ensure a more relaxed state of rest.  You will enjoy less aches and pains, tension, and stiffness as you reduce the occurrence of overuse injury through your newly found strength and flexibility.  

   Body positioning, atmosphere, and demand on muscle functioning are important elements I consider when developing an exercise program.  In consideration of these factors, I will help you to pursue an active career; achieving excellence, adaptability, intelligence, and overall wellness.
