Cloned Meat Safe?

The government gave preliminary approval of cloned food items for our consumption last Thursday.  Unfortunately, they may not require these items to be labeled as such.

The FDA believes that "meat and milk from cattle, swine and goat clones is as safe to eat as the food we eat every day."  They also feel that meat and milk from their offspring is also safe.

The scientists are saying that there is "virtually no difference between food from clones and food from conventional livestock."  And that it is "as safe to eat as the food we eat every day."...Hmmm....what is that supposed to mean???

"Virtually no difference" admits to actually having differences...and "as safe as the food we eat everyday"...frankly, most foods that people eat are not good for them - empty calories, artificial preservatives, chemical additives, pesticides, and very far from their natural state - lacking in nutrients, essential vitamins and minerals.

There is much controversy out there, here is just one quickie.  Of course, I am concerned with the health and well-being of the animals.  I wonder if their brain function is compromised and how their personalities are effected?
