20 Years of Growth

Weight control in our society is of increasing importance.  Illness and disease associated with the obesity epidemic are out of control.

Over the past 20 years, we have been exposed to a distorted view of portion sizes (click to advance slide show) and now, these larger sizes are considered the "norm."

Unfortunately, what people fail to realize is the extra work (exercise) it takes for the body to burn off these extra calories from the larger portions.  All those extra calories add up quickly to excess body fat.

An excellent trick to controlling your portion sizes is to switch to a smaller plate.  Fill your cupboards with smaller plates, bowls, and cups...and watch your waistline shrink.  Special thanks to my father-in-law (Don Blystone) for this simple tip.
