Having Children is No Excuse


It should not come as a surprise that you are in charge of what you and your children eat.  Who does the grocery shopping  in your house?  Who's money is being spent on the food choices?   

Compared to adults living without children, adults living with children ate an additional 4.9grams of fat daily, including 1.7g of saturated fat.

If you don't bring fresh fruits and vegetables in your house - do you really expect the children will???  I know many parents that shake their heads and say that their children won't eat fruit and/or vegetables.  Frankly, these items need to be purchased, prepared (if necessary), and presented...over and over...repetition is key.

Because you have children does NOT mean that you (or they) should be eating less nutritious, vitamin and mineral deficient junk food, and processed garbage. 

You are your children's role models, they watch and emulate you every day. 

Everyone, young and old alike, should be eating a wide variety of foods - all in moderation.
