"An Apple a Day...

...keeps the doctor away."  But, did you know it lowers cholesterol, decreases colon cancer, helps to maintain intestinal balance and regulates blood pressure?

   That's not all, either.

Apples slow down the digestion of other foods to keep you fuller, longer.  This is very important when you are watching your weight because an increase in satiety may lead to a decrease in total calories eaten.  Less total calories will help you burn body fat for fuel and assist in weight loss.

Studies show their antioxidant power to lower the risk of respiratory disease, improve lung function, and cut smokers' risk of DOPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease).

Apples are a nutritional powerhouse - bursting with nutrients, antioxidants, and soluble fiber.  I suggest having one apple each day (with a variety of foods) to keep you on the road of health.
