What You Don't Know - May Hurt You

What is wrong with genetically modified (GM) foods? And why are these foods not labeled as such?
I'll tell you. Mass producers of genetically altered foods are purposefully not informing us because they know we won't buy it. We are cautious and skeptical of these foods as there have been no human safety testing done on them.
GM substances are found in 75% of all processed foods Americans eat each day. Wouldn't you like to know if there were mouse genes in your potatoes, cow genes in your soy and sugar cane, or human genes in your corn, potatoes, and rice?
A good example of this is genetically modified corn containing BT (bacillus thuringiensis). BT is a deadly toxin, a pesticide that makes corn resistant to insects. What we don't know is what it will do to consumers - nobody knows - we are being used as guinea pigs.
These plants are also dangerous to the soil. After their harvest, they decay and release insecticides that interfere with the natural microorganisms that would otherwise promote healthy life-sustaining qualities.
I feel this is a safety issue and the consumption of GM foods should be a matter of choice. The FDA is not allowing us that choice because they do not require such labeling of foods.
Watch this informative documentary to heighten your awareness on this issue.
Care to know what you are eating and make informed decisions on what foods you put in your body. Do not eat processed foods, and if you do, read the labels and understand each ingredient and how it effects the body.
Your food decisions will not only impact your health now, but they will impact your future health and the health of future generations, too.
