Diets Don't Fail, People Fail

Researches at The University of California are kissing butts, stating that people are better off not dieting. According to their study, people normally lose between 5% and 10 % of their weight in the first six months. Great! But, they also have such an incredible lack of will-power that 2/3 of them gain all the weight back plus more than they lost within five years.
Repeatedly losing and gaining weight is linked to heart disease and stroke, the American Psychologist journal reported...Oh please. What's the deal with people not taking care of their bodies to become healthy, happy, and productive members of society? No one can blame their weight gain on a diet they were "trying" to follow.
..."Diets do not lead to sustained weight loss or health benefits for the majority of people."We concluded most of them would have been better off not going on the diet at all.
"Their weight would have been pretty much the same, and their bodies would not suffer the wear and tear of losing weight and gaining it all back."
The reason they gain it all back - and then some - is because diets without resistance training lead to muscle loss. And because muscle burns fat, you see how easily you will gain more weight as you go back to your old eating habits. Exercise is necessary for muscle maintenance, move it or lose it!
Diets are not intended for long term use, they are merely stepping stones to get you on your way to a fit and healthy body. Ultimately, diets are tools to your success, use accordingly in your pursuit of knowledge.
You may utilize a particular diet plan for ease of use, simplicity and guidance, but you must also educate yourself on sound nutritional practices that you can employ for the rest of your life.
Life is forever, diets are not.
