Fruits and Veggies; the Anti - Cancer

Fruits and vegetables should be eaten at every meal for optimal health.  These are the luscious, colorful, nutrient packed, super-foods your body was meant to run on.

A recent study provides evidence that they help to prevent several types of cancer

Adding just one serving of fruit or vegetables per each 1,000 calories consumed daily resulted in a 6 percent reduction of risk, Freedman said.
By increasing your consumption of fruits and vegetables you will not have room for junk food and that, in turn, will decrease your overall calories consumed each day.  You can expect a lower level of body fat, reduced cholesterol levels, increased brain function, and your immune system will be better equipped to ward off illness and disease.

One piece of advice though, if you are just starting to introduce quantities of fruits and veggies into your diet, you may experience a bit of gas, discomfort, and bloating. My advise to you is to use an anti-gas aid such as Gas-X or Beano and drink plenty of water to help with digestion.

Be patient, your body will adjust over time and these effects should fade, but the benefits will last a lifetime.
