Ditch the Spritz

These new "Salad Spritzers" pass themselves off as a low calorie, natural, healthy, and economical alternative to conventional salad dressings.

Consumers beware!  These salad dressings are diet dangers in disguise.  These "Spritzers" are essentially the same as regular bottled dressings; they have no fewer calories and are made with the same ingredients proven to exhibit weight gain, obesity, type II diabetes, and high cholesterol in unsuspecting people.

Do the math, their serving is 10 sprays (or 8 ml) which gives you 10 calories.  If you were to use 2 tbs (30 ml) of it, the serving size of regular dressings, you would consume the same calories as a typical light Italian dressing, or about 40 calories.

In reference to this being a diet aid - this is a diet disaster.  Check it out, the main ingredient to this "Salad Spritzer" is high fructose corn syrup.  This ingredient alone has been under scrutiny for decades as the main culprit of obesity and it interferes the body's usage of key essential nutrients such as magnesium, copper and chromium.  Our bodies are literally starving of these and other life supporting elements.

Marketing and advertising for this product is simply atrocious, don't miss the video "On the catwalk" located on the lower right corner of their page.  Come on Richard (Simons is hosting their fruity fashion show) , at $2.89 per 7oz bottle, you would be well advised to make a one-time purchase of your own spritzer bottle portion control gadget and fill it with your favorite dressing at half the cost.

Stay one step ahead of these big companies, turn the package over, and read the ingredient labels.  For, in the end, you may find that what you are purchasing is not at all about the product - yet it is simply about the packaging.

Is it really worth it?
