Got Cravings?


                  

Do you find yourself craving certain foods?  May it be chocolate, sweets, or fattening deep fried foods; there is more to it than meets the eye.

A food craving is essentially your body's way of telling you that you're lacking one or more essential nutrients.  So, instead of giving in to your superficial cravings and destroying your nutrition plan, try eating some healthy whole foods that are packed with vitamins, nutrients, and minerals.

This list is a great reference to keep handy.  It gives examples of foods we crave, what your body is lacking and what it is really asking for, and it gives a list of healthy foods to eat in place of the craving foods. 

I suggest printing it out and posting it on your refrigerator for a quick reference for when your feeling the "urge to splurge."
