Intervention is Best for ADHD
Children and adults alike are being diagnosed with ADHD (attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder) and jumping on the bandwagon of prescription drugs. This is very dangerous for health and longevity and may cause permanent damage to the individual.
Unfortunately, these drugs only suppress the symptoms of ADHD without treating the cause or working to improve cognitive abilities. There is hope, though. A new study showed significant improvement in behavior by using intervention and positive reinforcement without drugs.
Using a variety of early intervention strategies, parents reported, on average, a 17-percent decrease in aggression and a 21-percent improvement in their children's social skills. In the classroom, teachers saw a 28-percent improvement in both categories. Early literacy skills improved up to three times over their baseline status. For children's' sake; do not give in to prescription drugs.
