What Would You Eat if You Wanted to Get Fat?

Cookies, cakes, donuts and ice cream?  Yes, that's the stuff and here's one reason why.  Scientists have pinpointed a gene in the liver, called SCD-1, as the very reason excess carbohydrates make us fat.

This is all fine and dandy.  My problem is with people who think the solution is to remove this natural process from our bodies.  According to Brian at That's Fit, "Now, if we could all just get that pesky SCD-1 out of our livers..."

Removing a natural process only spells trouble.  Mess with one organ or system and everything is effected, everything will suffer in some way.  It's that old "trickle-down theory" we learned about in elementary school.

I think readers will agree the best solution is to move in concert with nature, eat whole foods full of natural sweetness and goodness instead of sugar laden concoctions we weren't meant to ingest in the first place.

Oh, so what would you avoid if you wanted to loose weight?  It's common sense, those very same cookies, cakes, donuts, and ice cream!
