Since When is "Good Enough" Great?

Kids need to exercise, they need to play with other kids, run around to strengthen their muscles, bones, and immune systems, and to socialize.

Being locked into a mesmerizing video game is no substitute for that.  I am sick of people and our media saying how wonderful this new Wii video game is because it requires kids to "thrust, wave, swing and twist its one-handed, motion-sensitive controller to direct the on-screen action."
"Given the current prevalence of childhood overweight and obesity, such positive behaviors should be encouraged."
Positive behavior?  A positive behavior is playing with other children and not waving a video game stick around in the air.  This game is not exercise, nor does it burn many calories, and it does nothing to develop a child's health.
The workout was also not intense enough to contribute toward the recommended amount of daily physical activity for children, the researchers said.
So, why is this a good report?  You see it really isn't, don't believe this game is good for your kids.

And you know what?  This advice goes for adults, too.  Those who succumb to this surreal fantasy become detached from society; thus leading to depression, anxiety, and misery...and unfortunately, we have to put up with them.

There is too much life to live, places to see, and people to meet in the real world.  It is time to develop and refine your social skills, your mind and body connection, and enjoy the many sensational aspects of modern society.
