Intermittent Fasting and Innovative Trainers
What separates an average trainer from an exceptional one? How about the ability to read and interpret all the latest research and get on board with eagerness and experiment with oneself to prove (or disprove) new theories. The innovative trainer then has first hand knowledge and experiences to share with clients and others.

This experience (and several experiments later) lead me to conclude that my body performs much better in a fasting state or with protein and fats for breakfast, as opposed to eating a breakfast high in carbohydrates.
So, put down that glossy magazine touting the old six meals a day routine, throw out that high carb. - low fat diet (that got us all fat and hungry to begin with), and get on board with this new revelation in nutrition.

Calorie restriction and fasting are thought to contribute to wellness and longevity, weight loss, beneficial blood lipids, decreased inflammatory markers, diabetes control, arthritis, possibly even lowered incidence of deathly illnesses like cancer. Short-term, intermittent fasting is a simple, almost enjoyable way to achieving this.The beauty of intermittent fasting is its flexibility. I've tried it by fasting from 8 pm through 11 am the next day, which is not a long fast, but substantial when you figure I am a highly active person exercising and teaching exercise throughout the day. During this short fast, I felt energized and strong, unlike days that I eat oatmeal for breakfast and feel sluggish and tired.
