No More Wimpy Core Isolation Exercises

This is why I do farmer's walks, pull-ups, push-ups, box jumps, burpees, and other unconventional exercises.

Thanks, Conditioning Research, for this nice piece on banishing core isolation exercises that could be better taxed with heavy whole-body moves. Just think of the response your body would have to this intense exercise.

From Mark Twight:
One-Piece
Dan John originally said that the body is one-piece, and joked that there is no core. We couldn't see how rolling around on a Swiss Ball could do anymore than help stabilize muscles around one's center. However, we learned that many other exercises taught one to initiate movement from the center without ever being recognized as "core exercises" so we filmed some.
So what are you waiting for? Get serious and get intense today!
