100 Calorie Nightmare

They are very popular, but just how healthy are those 100 calorie snack packs?
Actually, they are distinctly unhealthy and a poor excuse for food. Packed with nutrient deficient carbs., those nasty processed food substitutes won't nourish your body or provide necessary vitamins and nutrients.
Instead, they help keep you fat.
100 calorie packs are disasterous for dieters and health concious folks because the carbs. in them keep you craving more carbs., more sugars, and leave you tired and hungry.
"While restrained eaters may be attracted to smaller foods in smaller packages initially, presumably because these products are thought to help consumers with their diets, our research shows that restrained eaters actually tend to consume more of these foods than they would of regular foods."So, it's not sunrising that they also inhibit your body from learning to burn fat for fuel because (with them) you are running on sugar.
Whereas, the dieter who packs his/her own snacks of protein and veggies will stay energized, burn fat for fuel, build and maintain (fat burning) muscle, and stay satiated longer.
My best advice is to take control of yourself and stop supporting big food manufacturers. Question everything, for they are in advertising and they know how to make you buy, buy, buy.
From The New York Times, "In just three years, sales of 100-calorie packs of crackers, chips, cookies and candy have passed the $200-million-a-year mark, making them a breakout hit on par with the SnackWells low-fat fad of the 1990’s. "
Why not take a moment and fill a reusable sandwich bag with fruits or vegetables, carrots, grilled chicken, or lunch meat?
That way, you'll take your health into your own hands and be way ahead of snack food
