Jump Into Fitness
Want to burn up to 1,000 calories an hour? How about taking your fitness and endurance to knew heights?
A few weeks ago I decided to shed some fat, for I was carrying around a mini spare tire. My dilemma was how to do this without any spare time to devote to more exercise and meal preparation.
Sorting through my options of adding cardio and calorie restrictions to my daily routine, I came to the conclusion that short, intense bouts of exercise along with minimally invasive dietary changes would leave that tire deflated and flat without straining my schedule.
The diet is easy, cut the carbs, graham crackers, alcohol, and high fructose corn syrup, and increase my coffee consumption. The reduction of carbs. forces my body to run on stored fat and glycogen for fuel and the coffee deters my appetite and keeps mejacked up going strong all day.
My best option for cardio was a simple jump rope. I decided to scoot into the aerobics room in between every set of heavy resistance training to jump rope. Now, I know what you're thinking: "but wouldn't that make you exhausted for your next set?" Well on the contrary folks, jumping rope actually cranked up my heart rate and excited my body to lift more weight than ever!
So now, about five weeks later, I am leaner and stronger than I have ever been in my life. I even have a fun routine I've put together for my next seminar.
