Brooke Greenberg may hold the secret to the fountain of youth. She is 16 yrs. old, though she looks like an infant and has the mental capacity of a toddler. But, what is truly astounding is how she overcomes every obstacle thrown her way. Before she turned six, she had seven perforated stomach ulcers, a brain seizure and stroke that left no damage weeks later, a lethargy caused her to sleep for fourteen days at age four, and she was diagnosed with a brain tumor - only to see is disappear miraculously!

The Greenbergs are fascinated by the promise that a scientific breakthrough may stem from Brooke, whose own life is governed by the most basic elements: food and shelter; a family's love; and their ability to see in her far more than meets the eye, having come to terms with the prospect that she will never grow up.

"We love her just the way she is," Melanie Greenberg said. "We don't want to change her."
