Obesity, Cancer, Heart Disease; Mere Symptoms of a Failing Diet

I was astounded when I saw the headlines, "As many as 100,000 cases of cancer could be prevented in the U.S. each year if Americans get rid of their excess body fat." The study suggests that heart disease, diabetes, and joint problems aren't the only illnesses in which rampant obesity is causing havoc. ..
...The group says overweight and obesity could be the cause of more than 6% of all the estimated 1.6 million cancer cases diagnosed in the U.S. each year.
But wait, there's more......excess body fat is the cause of 33,000 breast cancer cases each year, nearly one-sixth the total cases in postmenopausal women. Obesity could be to blame for nearly 21,000 cases of endometrial cancer and more than 13,000 cases of colorectal cancer per year.I must interject that it's been known since 1923 that sugar, in the form of glucose, feeds tumor cells and expedites growth. In fact, there is ongoing research linking DIET (not body fat itself) to cancer growth.
Unfortunately, society can't see the forest for the trees or maybe ignorant reporting are easier to swallow? I don't know, but truth-be-told, it's your diet high in carbohydrates that is causing cancer.
Researchers for the article were closing in on target as they state, "Fatty tissue also affects the way the body metabolizes insulin, which can alter how sugar is processed and how it ultimately gets to cells." Good, but take it a little further next time won't you?
It's a well-known fact that obesity is just another symptom of a high carbohydrate diet, same as heart disease, diabetes, and chronic inflammation.
So what are you waiting for? Lay off the sugar and lay down the foundation of a strong, disease free body!
Thanks, Amanda
