If It Looks Like a Duck..

.. and acts like a duck, is it not a duck?

Check out this fantastic post from primalmeded on the new Australian dietary guidlines. It's a quick, witty read. Here is a great argument she lays out: 


 
Here we see an increase in carbohydrates and fibre while dietary fat is reduced and, in spite of fat reduction, total calories consumed did not go down: 

"Does anybody need a reminder on how the obesity and overweight rates in Australia went while we were busy modifying our intakes, "in the direction encouraged by previous dietary guidelines?"

Case in point: fat does not make you fat. Carbohydrates make you fat, sick, and diabetic and you've got to consider there is a lot of money to be made in sick people...
